Flyover Stocks Podcast with Jeff Fischer
We discuss a wide range of topics in this hour-long chat
After a five-month break, the Flyover Stocks podcast has returned!
I had the pleasure of hosting my good friend and former Motley Fool Pro newsletter colleague, Jeff Fischer, on the show.
Jeff and I go way back to 2008 when he returned to The Motley Fool to launch Pro as the lead advisor. I served as the analyst on the newsletter - my first real equity research job - and couldn’t have asked for a better early mentor than Jeff.
We started Pro with a $1 million real-money portfolio in October 2008—right as the markets were in chaos. One thing that stands out from that turbulent time was Jeff’s remarkable calmness when so many others were losing their composure.
We cover a wide range of topics in our conversation, including:
The importance of recurring revenue
The behavioral challenges of managing other people’s money
How to use options as a complement to a long-term investment strategy
When does a moat become a monopoly?
And much more…
I hope you enjoy this episode of the Flyover Stocks podcast with Jeff Fischer.
Jeff is in the process of writing a book on options, which I’m looking forward to reading. You can follow him on X/Twitter @fooljefffischer.
Premium Flyover Stocks members: I’m finishing up the December company profile, so please be sure to keep an eye out for it during the busy end of the year period.
Stay patient, stay focused.
